Ok, now that we have our blog, we need things to write about. I am not very good at writing. I need help.
Please, send me your articles and whatever else you think we can write about.
If you like to be featured, then drop a little note about yourself and I will publish it.
If you have anything to brag about, send it my way. If you have tutorials you like to share, send here.

This blog will feature a monthly giveaway. The value of the prize will be determined by the shop donating the prize. as well as who will be eligible to play. You may have it open to US residents only or it could be international. It is up to the individual shop. They will also be featured the month they are donating the prize.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I am new at blogging, so I can use all the help I can get.

I just find out how to add more authors for our blog. If you would like to publish on our blog, send me your email address and I can add you as an author.

Also, if you are going to have sales, promotions or specials, drop me a note. I will add a special section to the sidebar for this info.

Our blog is also using the 'Stat Counter' software. To see the traffic and where the traffic coming from go to http://my.statcounter.com/project/
The username is ejdss, the password is hithere. I am glad to say that one visitor found our blog thru google, doing a search on 'birthday gifts for april'.

I hope you guys are using the Organize feature of the flicker. Pick Organize, select all the pictures, select Add tag. Enter your tag and it will add it to all the pictures. I think it should attach the tag to the ones in the group as well.

I just tried the organize feature and it will add the tag to the pictures you have loaded to the group pool.

Also, make sure to add the tag as "ejdss team". Without the quotes, flickr will add the tag as two different tags.

The widgets are the codes. If you copy and paste the content of one of the 'Codes' into the side bar or somewhere in another blog, you will see the widget.

We have a new button for our blog. It is right under the Sales and Specials section. If you run into places that do button swaps let me know and I will add their button and send them ours. I could not use the old button, because it didn't say anything about what we did. If anyone else has a button design, send it to me and we can add it.

what are the acceptable topics for articles? anything jewelry? anything handmade? tutorials, great finds, thoughts on the subject, techniques or materials that are new or fun? I found a japanese braiding book and fell in love with it! I've also found some cool ideas from some books from the local library to make jewelry from found/recycled objects. I'm all for recycling!

Here are my thoughts on this subject - I think it should be related to your crafts that you sell on etsy. Teresa started including tote bags in her shop, so I commented about her tote bags in our blog, so it does not have to be specially about jewelry. You can pick a gem stone and talk about its history, how to take care of it or so on. Or, it can be about something new you are trying, or about you shop. You can write a post about your packaging and put a link in your listings to it. You can write about birthday gifts for the month of August with links to a search in our group for those items (let me know if you are going to do that in a couple of days).

It can a tutorial, if you have one for free. It can be a personal experience with making jewelry, handling a shop, a baby and life (life of a handmade Mom).

If anyone needs help with any of these making it work on the blog or in your shop, let me know.

I don't know if you have noticed, but I added the Google ads to our blog and we have accumulated $1.19 so far. I know it is not much but it is something. So get going with your posts for the blog, maybe we can get more money and be able to afford to buy an ad somewhere.

I wish someone would explain what is a retweet vs twitting. I saw it on twitter, but could not make sense of it.
