Awhile ago I came across a great wire wrapper named Eni Oken. I found this link to some tutorials at a forum she started with some friends. Thought some of you might be interested. Some pretty cool stuff..

Most of you probably won't need this, but It has helped me before

http://www.snazzycat.com/oscommerce/catalog/BEAD_METRIC.php
It gives you the typical lengths, bead dimensions etc. It can be helpful if you are unsure of the MM of bead you have or if you need to confirm that indeed your choker is a choker.

Here is one I refer to often for the names of bead shapes.
http://www.mrbead.com/shapes.htm

Like I said many of you are pro's and don't need this but I thought for anyone who is like me.... Often running into a bead or two that you can't remember buying and it has no packaging, so you need to size it and identify the shape this might be a quick go-to. Smile
I also have a stone that I have totally forgotten the name of.... Maybe I will post a picture of it, hopefully someone can identify it that would make me so HAPPY!!! Very Happy

Some very cool links everyone! Thanks for posting them! I think posted these in another section maybe, but I am posting them here also.

I joined SRAJD which is
The International Organization for Self-Representing Artists in Jewelry Design. If you are interested go to http://www.srajd.com/ for info.

I also joined www.ecrater.com and www.pinkdoodle.com

Both are selling marketplaces. Both were free to sign up.

Someone may have already mentioned this one but I find that some of the projects have information about techniques - I don't actually do the projects but have learned some great techniques by reading the instructions for some of the projects - as in ladder stitch which I hadn't tried before..

http://www.beadingdaily.com/freeprojects/projects.aspx

Beading Daily has a free project gallery - you just need to set up an account and you can download (or purchase the ones that are not for free) pdfs of various projects.

I love Beading Daily and have LOADS of the pdf's that I have downloaded. I'm like you though, haven't actually made any of the projects but I just like having them around for the techniques. Definitely worth the sign up. FYI, I have 3 email accounts, the first one being my main one that my husband and I use for important stuff, second is my "business" one and the last is a hotmail account that I use for stuff like Beading Daily and other newsletters from beading shops online. That way it kind of keeps it all separate and if I don't check the hotmail one for a few days it's no big deal. Very Happy

Well I have a link to one of the best wire wrapping tutorials that I've seen and it's free. Here is the link
http://andy321.proboards48.com/index.cgi?board=wwp&action=display&thread=26661&page=1

Amazing what you can find on the web and all the different forums and sites. Now just need to buy some wire!

There's a site where you can type in your shop name to see if you're in a treasury.

I was looking for necklace lengths and their names and found this:
http://www.bead-media.com/necklacelengths.html

It actually has a lot more than just the necklace information. There's even stuff about bead museums! Really quite interesting!

The necklace length site is an interesting one - I never knew that those various names refered to specific lengths! Thanks for posting the link!
