I have tried so many things on line to help my Etsy shop and nothing has worked. I find that getting an email list, and word of mouth through family and friends has been the only thing working. I would love to drive more business to my online shop. Thanks Lisa

I agree about word of mouth especially through friends and family. When I first started making jewelry we were living in England and I would sell my jewelry at work and my SIL would take it in to her job and sell more...plus she bought loads. Over here I have a few friends but they already make jewelry...lol.

I posted this in the team advertising thread, but thought this would be a good spot too. Very Happy

I found this place yesterday and got my shop listed. They do have a spot for Etsy teams, and there are currently only 2 teams there. I think it would be a good spot to put the team and get some exposure. I don't know how much traffic they get, but you get listed for either $5 or $10 per year, yes PER YEAR depending on which plan you choose. Take a look and see what you think everyone. It may be a place to consider listing your shop too. Hard to beat that price!

I attended Tim Adam's webinar on Tuesday evening and got some very useful information, especially for those of us who use twitter to promote.

http://www.wefollow.com Sign up here and target where you get your followers from and who YOu follow. I tend to go into the etsy stuff since we would have common interests.

http://www.hootsuite.com This place is great! You can manage your twitter account from here, but the best is YOU CAN SCHEDULE YOUR TWEETS! I gave this to my husband and he is all over that and using it already. You can sit and in a matter of minutes set up tweets for scheduled times and days. I think this will be very useful with the giveaways. We can set them up to be during the day hours in Europe!

I came across this today and thought I would share it with all of you. I placed an ad there for my shop. It's free and runs for 30 days. At this point I'll do just about anything to get my shop name out there. It was easy to do and like I said, FREE!

PostSubject: Website - domain shopping   Tue 17 Nov 2009, 7:35 pm

okay so, I have my website through Microsoft Office live small business, and it is like $14.95 a year. It is fairly simple, and easy, gives you a business email, and template. Right now if you google - Microsoft Office Live Small Business, you will see on the bottom a jewelry artist who got her site through there - Lisa Baker of Lisa Confetti jewelry, which pretty much inspired me to do my website domain there. Really neat, so check it out. They have support too, and will help you with all your questions. And, if you have a paypal account, which most etsy shop owners do, then on your owne site you can add paypal shopping cart buttons like adding glitter graphics to myspace.... soo easy! And boom a free ecommerce site on your website!

Happy website domain shopping!
